Welcome back Storytimers! Today¡¯s read aloud is: The
Elephant and the Teapot are Friends, by Mike Dubisch and Carolyn
Watson-Dubisch.

The teapot sat in the windowsill when a big gust of
wind caused it to spill.

Down the hill it rolled and rolled, finally stopping at
the watering hall.

It landed with a big "Kerplunk!"

There the friends met, spout to trunk.

He grasped the pot by the snout and carried it with
him all about.

He brought it along to meet his friends, and they all
went swimming at the river bend.

When he climbed the hill to look at the stars, the
teapot was never far.

Miss Sally is sad;her coffee is bad.

She misses her tea, so sweet and warm.

Nothing's been the same since the windstorm, my
pot,she cried, with tears in her eyes.

He raised the teapot way up high.

"Teapot and I are friends for life!¡±

¡°Now, now," said Miss Sally, ¡°Come with me.¡±

¡°We can all be friends and have a spot of tea."
