(도형의) 둘레, 주위, 주변, 경계

The continouous line forming the boundary of a closed geometric figure;

the total distanc around the outside of a shape.

수학과 일상생활에서 정말 자주 쓰이는 단어입니다.

도형의 '둘레'를 생각하면 됩니다.

수학에서는 '줄레의 길이'를 뜻하고,

군사나 보안 분야에서는 '경계구역'이나 '방어선'을 의미합니다.

1. To find the perimeter of a square, you add the lengths of all four sides.

정사각형의 둘레를 구하려면 네 변의 길이를 모두 더하면 됩니다.

2. The basketball court has a perimeter of about 86 meters.

농구 코트의 둘레에 길이는 약 86미터 입니다.

3. We built a wooden fence around the perimeter of our garden.

우리는 정원 둘레에 나무 울타리를 세웠습니다.
