In a quiet, sunny countryside, there lived a poor
farmer.
He worked hard every day, caring for his animals and
tending his small farm.
But even with all his hard work, he still struggled to
earn enough to live.
One morning, when the farmer went to collect eggs, he
noticed something strange in one goose’s nest.
“A golden egg?! This can’t be real!”
He rushed inside to examine it and discovered it was
truly made of solid gold.
The farmer couldn’t believe his luck.
The very next day, the goose laid another golden egg.
And then another the day after that. Soon, the
farmer’s life began to change.
He repaired his farm, bought better tools, and felt
happier each morning.
But as time passed, the farmer became greedy.
“If this goose gives me one golden egg every day...
Imagine how many must be inside it! If I take them all
at once, I’ll be rich forever!”
Blinded by greed, the farmer made a terrible choice.
When he opened the goose, he found nothing inside.
