Snakes! There are so many different types of snakes, in this video we will take a look at some of the many different kinds of snakes around the world.

 

Venomous Snakes

Some snakes have venom, a toxic substance they use to immobilize prey or defend themselves. These types of snakes include: cobras, mambas, sea snakes and rattlesnakes.

 

Non-Venomous Snakes

These snakes kill their prey by constriction or swallowing them whole. These types of snakes include: pythons, boas, garter snakes, and corn snakes.

 

Aquatic Snakes

These snakes have adapted to living in or near water. These types of snakes include: sea snakes and water snakes.

 

Arboreal Snakes

These snakes live in trees and have long, slender bodies. These types of snakes include: green tree pythons and emerald tree boas.

 

Desert Snakes

These snakes have adapted to dry, sandy environments. These types of snakes include: sidewinders and sand boas.

 

Constrictors

Some snakes kill prey by squeezing them tightly. These types of snakes include: anacondas and also pythons again.

 

Small and Colorful Snakes

Some snakes are small and known for their bright colors. These types of snakes include: coral snakes, milk snakes, and ringneck snakes.
