It stretches approximately 7,062 km, or 4,400 miles, across the continent.

It flows through 9 countries: Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, and French Guiana.

The Amazon River carries more water than any other river in the world. Its home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the famous pink dolphins, piranhas, and anacondas, and flows through the Amazon rainforest, the world's largest tropical rainforest, with an incredibly diverse ecosystem.
