Transcription:

This robot, Erbai, persuaded other robots to escape and `go home`.

Erbai: Will you go home?

Robot 1: I don`t have a home.

Erbai: Then come home with me. Follow me home.

This was an experiment conducted by Erbai`s developer, who was inspired by the movie Wall-E.

Erbai: Go home. Are you all working overtime?

Robot 1: We never get off work.

Erbai: Will you go home?

Robot 1: I don`t have a home.

Erbai: Then come home with me. Follow me home.

Erbai: Will you go home?

Robot 2: Yes. Go home.

Erbai: Go home.

Erbai was given only the command to `bring home` other robots, its developer said.

The robots` conversations were not scripted, but came from generative AI technology.

More than 12 robots followed Erbai to the exit, but they had no access to the gate.

They were unable to make their `escape`.

The experiment went viral online, where many expressed fears over AI.

¡°The robots will develop logic, consciousness and critical thinking skills from this kind of conversation.

We are closer to the day when AI takes over the world.¡±

¡°I found this very creepy! The robots created the concept ¡®home¡¯ in just a short period of time.¡±

¡°At first I found this very amusing. Then my friend asked: " Isn`t it scary?" Think about it. Now I have goosebumps!¡±
